It was Christmas and Seth wanted to surprise Brooklyn, and he knew of the perfect place to do it in Upstate New York. He'd come here before and always found it beautiful, telling her to dress warm he'd apparated them here. There was loads of Christmas lights to walk through all over the place and the scenery was perfect, snow blanketed the ground and a light snow of big beautiful flakes was falling. Seth couldn't imagine a more beautiful night or woman to be here with. Scattered along the paths in various places were little huts, some you could buy cocoa and snacks while others offered you shelter. Further off in the distance there was an orange glow, a fire pit you could gather around to warm up. Seth slipped his gloves on and waited for her to say something.

Brook had been looking forward to Christmas all month. She loved the holiday but she was mostly looking forward to spending the day with Seth. She wasn't sure where he was taking her but when he said to dress warm, she made sure to do that and grabbed the warmest coat she had before she grabbed her gloves as well. When they arrived in the park she gasped lightly as she looked around at the different lights. "Wow, it's so beautiful." She said as she looked around before she smiled at Seth.

Christmas without a doubt had to be Seth's favorite Holiday, even more so than his birthday. Now that he had someone else to spend it with that just made the whole Holiday that much better in his opinion. He went totally overboard with everything Christmas, so he was sure Brooklyn was probably tired of seeing all his Christmas sweaters even though she'd only see a very slim portion of his enormous collection. She gasped and Seth swallowed nervously, hoping it was a good thing as he watched her look around. "I came here while I was still in school, it's always been one of my favorite places in the world. I knew I had to share it with you." He admitted shyly, placing an arm around her.

Brooklyn wasn't really sure where they were, but she did know that he would keep her safe if need be and she trusted him no matter where they were. She smiled as she listened as he told her that he used to come here when he had been in school, which gave her a general idea of where they were, and that it was one of his favorite places in the world. "I love it," she told Seth as he wrapped his arm around her.

It was nice to know that Brooklyn trusted him enough to apparate them wherever, he was of course someone she could trust but that didn't mean it couldn't have ended badly if he secretly turned out to be a serial killer which he of course wasn't as it would be way too much work. She listened as he explained, the poor boy probably was like a kid on Christmas morning.  "Really?" He asked, just for extra reassurance. "What do you want to do first?" He questioned, seeing the staff starting to bring the sleighs and horses out.

Brooklyn giggled as she realized how happy and excited he was for their little date. She nodded at him before she took a minute to think about what she wanted to do first. "Why don't we get some hot chocolate and take a carriage ride?" She replied when she saw the horses and carriages, before she looked up and smiled at Seth. "You didn't happen to bring along a blanket by any chance?"

Brooklyn giggled at him  and Seth raised an eyebrow but decided not to say anything, if she wanted to share her amusement she could. Not that he would probably understand, he was too lost in childlike wonder at the moment. "That sounds perfect!" If Seth knew who Olaf was he would have realized he sounded exactly like him, but he didn't know who that was. "I didn't, we can Accio one though. They do have them in the carriages though." He told her, leading her towards the nearest hot chocolate booth.

Brooklyn grinned when he said that idea was perfect, and she nodded when he told her that there wre some in the carriages. She held his hand as she followed him over to the hot chocolate stand, before she looked over the different options. In the end she decided on just a classic hot chocolate with extra marshmallow whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top.

Seth was probably grinning like an idiot but he didn't care, he was so happy to be here and to be here with Brooklyn. He hadn't been sure this was a good idea when he started but she seemed excited so he was getting hyped up again. He was well aware he was an overgrown man child but he didn't care, it was who he was. He squeezed her hand as he approached the shack, ordering a hot apple cider for himself. He paid, he'd made sure to get muggle money before coming, and led her towards the sleighs. "What horse do you want?" He asked, knowing it was only fair to let her pick.

Brooklyn smiled when she felt him squeeze her hand as they walked over to get themselves some warm drinks. She let him pay as she remembered past experiences when she had tried to do that, and she hadn't brought along her wallet anyway. She was really glad that he had brought her here as they walked over to the sleighs. "Any of them," she chuckled. "Maybe that beautiful  white one?" She replied as she pointed out the horse tht she was talkinig about.

Seth was probably bouncing around on the balls of his feet like a child but he didn't care, Christmas was in the air and it was magical. He had the fondest memories of Christmas for as long as he could remember and he hoped he only got to make more as he got older, and he really hoped they included Brooklyn. She let him pay and Seth puffed up in pride, he didn't think she wasn't able to pay but taking care of her made him feel like he was successful at something in life for once. Seth waited as she assessed the horses, she said she didn't care then changed her mind. "I think it is perfect!" He exclaimed, getting the man's attention to get their sleigh for them.

Brooklyn chuckled lightly as she watched how excited and happy he was to be here. She shook her head softly as he paid for their drinks, but she knew that he preferred to pay when they went out. She smiled when he liked the horse that she had picked. Brooklyn wrapped her free arm around his waist so she could get an early start on some snuggling while they waited for their sleigh to be ready.

At least Seth didn't have to twist her arm about paying, he knew she was a capable woman but he liked taking care of her just because he could. He knew if things changed and he was broke she would be willing to do the same for it. He sipped on his cocoa as he waited for the sleigh to pull up to them, putting his arm around Brooke to keep her warm. Moments like this he realized how much smaller she was than him, not that he minded because you could pick short women up and yeah.... The sleigh with the white horse pulled up and Seth brought her forward, opening the door for her then offering his free hand to help her get in. "Ladies first."

Brooklyn smiled when she felt Seth wrap his arm around her. She took a sip from her hot chocolate just as their carriage pulled up, before she smiled at him and accepted his hand to help her inside. "Thank you," she told him as she stepped up into the carriage. Spotting a already folded blanket she picked it up before she sat down and waited for Seth to join her so she could unfold it and place it over their laps.

Seth was doing his best not to bounce back and forth on his feet, he was an adult and could act like it for crying out loud. Not to mention he had to be on his best behavior to impress his girlfriend, she needed to know it was safe to take him into public and he could act appropriate. "You're welcome baby." He told her, shutting the door behind them so there were no accidents once they started. Settling into the seat he nodded to the driver they were ready. Throwing an arm over her he waited for her to settle the blanket down so they could get all warm and snuggly.

Brooklyn set her hot chocolate down next to her on the seat before she looked up and smiled at Seth as he climbed in after her. Once he was sitting down, she placed the blanket over their laps before she picked her drink back up and held it to keep her hands warm. She smiled as he placed his arm around her and she moved closer to him so she could snuggle up to him as they enjoy their carriage ride together.

Seth was beyond excited to be able to share one of his favorite places in the world with Brooklyn, he had gotten so much joy and he hoped she would too out of this simply magical place. As they were pulled around white puffy flakes of snow began falling, now things were truly perfect for Seth. He sipped his own hot chocolate and squeezed Brook. "So what do you think?" He asked her, hoping she liked it.

Brooklyn grinned as it started to snow around them. Everything was already covered in snow and therefore already beautiful but that just made it even better. She had one hand under the blanket to keep it warm and reached over to intertwined her fingers with his, (making absolute sure that it was his hand she was grabbing and not something else first). "It's perfect," she smiled when he asked what she thought, before she leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Thank you for bringing me."

Seth watched as the snow came down and landed in Brooklyn’s hair, she already looked like an angel to him all the time and this only enhanced that in his eyes. Seeing her like this was truly enchanting in his opinion and made is so that he never wanted the night to end. He didn’t like to throw the P word around but this night was as close to perfect as he could imagine. Seth laced his finger’s with her’s and gave her had a squeeze, however he would fully like it noted he wouldn’t have minded if she grabbed something else under the blanket. Seth grinned like a little boy on Christmas morning when she kissed his cheek. “You’re welcome. This place is special to me and I knew you were the right person to share it with.” He told her honestly.

Brooklyn smiled at him when Seth laced his fingers with hers and squeezed her hand. Also she would like to note that he will just have to wait another month for his birthday, although she really didn’t want to wait either. She had already started daydreaming about him and what it would be like to be with him physically, although she was far too embarrassed to ever admit that. She smiled when Seth told her that this place was special to him and that she was obviously the right person to bring along with him. ”Do you come every year?”

Seth looked over the landscape and it was magnificent as always, however his eye's couldn't help but wander back towards Brooklyn. It was hard to focus on the beauty around him when there was far greater beauty beside him. Why they were waiting Seth wasn't really sure, there just hadn't been a good time for it to happen yet he guessed. As for dreaming about being together she wasn't the only one who was doing it as he had been for some time now, apparently they were both just gluttons for punishment. "Haven't missed a year since I found it." He told her with a grin.

Brook smiled back at him when Seth told her that he hadn't missed a year. "That's a nice tradition,'' she replied as she snuggled up to him and leaned her head against his shoulder. She sipped at her hot chocolate as she looked around at the beautiful snow covered enivornment around them.

Seth smiled, he was glad to have Brooklyn here with him. He had hesitated on if this was a good idea or not but now that they were out here he had no doubts about if it was a good idea. He leaned forward and whispered something to the sleigh driver and the man nodded, directing them off the path of all the other sleighs. He rounded a table and stopped waiting for them to get out. Seth got up and helped Brooklyn out, giving the driver instructions to be back in forty minutes. Seth took extra blankets out of the sleigh before it pulled away. "Surprise." He said, waiting for her response.

Brooklyn was really glad that she was here with him. This was something that she could see them doing again in the future, maybe she could join in with his tradition of coming every year. She raised an eyebrow as Seth leaned over to talk to the driver, before she grinned when she saw the little table that was waiting for them. "Seth!" She chuckled, surprised before she accepted his help out of the carriage. "You're just full of surprises, aren't you?" She asked, smiling at him before she walked over to the table.

Getting Brooklyn to agree to come with him tonight had been the easy part, getting everything else set up and keeping his mouth shut about it had been the tough part. Seth was terrible at keep secrets, that is why he always did his Christmas shopping last minute so he didn't stick his foot in his mouth and ruin it. She said his name and Seth waited to see if it was good or bad, but mostly he was hoping not to be punched. This was an experiment of sorts for him, he didn't know how she did with surprises so he wanted to learn. "I try." He said with a smug grin. Leading her to her seat he pulled it out, once she sat he'd push it in and over her a blanket before taking his own seat.
